Opportunities for Improvement

BACKGROUND

The Maine Pilotage Commission is committed to continuous improvement of the fulfillment of its role in navigation safety and the protection of lives, property and environment.  As such, the Pilotage Commission welcomes and urges identifying Opportunities for Improvement that can help us meet our goals to increase safety, environmental protection, and efficiency of both pilotage practices and administration of the Commission.

The Maine Pilotage Commission recognizes that good ideas can come from anywhere.  Therefore, the Commission welcomes the identification and communication of Opportunities for Improvement from any member of the public, marine community, pilot, or crewmember.

SUBMISSIONS

Submissions should include the specific item or issue identified for improvement AND suggested mitigation.
